Hey, sorry it took so long to answer, but I am on vacation and spending most of my time on the bike. I just spoke with a TICU nurse there and he has taken a downturn. He is back on the ventilator and is not responsive at this time. When I saw him a few weeks back he was alert and talking.

I just got some really bad news. They have asked Paul's son and his father if they wish to keep him on life support. I really thought that he was on the road to recovery when I saw him a few weeks back, but it doesn't look like that is the reality of it. I still have hope, I have to.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your brother. This is not my world so I just have to try and be OK with what comes down the line, but it sometimes hurts a lot and does not seem fair.

Hope is something that can sustain us in times of great need.

We have no idea sometimes how to pray in a difficult time like this. So I simply ask that Your peace and comfort will be upon the hearts of his family.... If it is your Will, Lord please restore Paul's life to him...... But if his destiny is to return home to You, Father....... Give him all our love when he arrives into Your glorious presence......
