Just wondering for now but wha kind of gas mileage are the srt8 jeeps
getting? Do they hold up ok? Any known problems with them? I know a few guys here traded up for them so I'm just looking for some solid feedback. Thanks alot guys

I hate mine, but I'm an exception.

I should add that the gas mileage sucks too. It's worse than the truck was.

Ok, I have to ask why u hate yours...
And that surprises me about the fuel economy, I would have never thought that...

Electrical gremlins that they have never been able to fix. The navigation system is about one generation better than an Etch-A-Sketch. Road noise is terrible, however getting rid of the Goodyear run flats help a little. Those things are a POS. To me the overall quality is not that good, but then this comes after owning two Infiniti's.

My wife absolutely loves hers, she doesnt even like driving my truck compared to her jeep. Its definitely a step up from the trucks interior wise, creeks/rattles, etc is not like the typical dodge, seems very tight. Hers is an 09, so it has the newer interior (changed between 07/08MY). Tons of features. The dislikes are tight backseat area and 13-15MPG depending on driving style. Market is pretty good on them right now, not alot of deals out there.

I've test drove one, so I definately see where Justin is coming from. Wonder if the bugs have been worked out on the newer ones...

Gotta watch these fuggers...they will tell you anything to get you to keep the truck..LOL..;) :p ......and speaking of that are you going to trade or add? My next daily driver is going to be a Jeep or Challenger..

Hehe, I'm gettin good at digging through it all :).
The wife and I will have children one day (no telling when) which means the stang and the truck may have to go. The only thing reasonable I would replace the truck with would be an srt8 jeep.

My wife likes her Jeep. The mileage sucks. She gets about 13 mpg and we have had electical problems. My son drag races it at PIR. It does 13.3 to 13.5 @ 102 in the quarter. Not bad for a 4800 lb brick.

I really like mine, been loyal and dependable for the last 2.5 years. Silverback is right, a few electrical gremlins (auto sunroof, and windows do stop when they are on there way auto-up - even after tsb flash). But besides that, I drive it almost everyday. Cant speak for Johns, but mine is super quiet (could be my hearing loss :p), and my average mpg is 13. Oh yeah, change the tires asap, the crap-years suck.

Huh, well the gas mileage doesn't seem better than the truck. So if anyone wants to trade for the truck shoot me a pm :D

The good,
Super quick from a dig, so so from a roll, stock it is quicker than the 10 to 60 in any weather
The interior on the 08 up is much improved + a bunch of nice goodies like
MYGIG, Hid headlights etc.
Relatively cheap for the power VS the competion BMW Mercedes and Porsche
The Bad,
Worse gas mileage than the 10 -8 mpg city, 15 Hwy,

Great and fun truck to use as a Daily Driver

my wife loves her '07 srt jeep-it has about 52K-i am not allowed to drive it-i do hand wash it once a week for her-it gets terrible gas mileage, has a very stiff ride and goes thru pads and rotors fast-i can only imagine if it was driven hard-i will buy it as a dd when the lease is up at the end of the year-she went from a mercedes s class to the jeep and is overal very happy-oh and it is bad in the snow, even with 4 snows-first jeep bought in 1982-this is our sixth-it is a bad ass suv-go for it, you will not regret it.

What I found is that in snow it works better if you turn off the traction control.

I should have added, I hate it, but my wife loves it. But then she has no taste. Look at what she married.

I've been considering selling my DD sedan and buying one. I'd rather have an SUV. From what I understand a computer reflash will give a 2-3 mpg increase on the interstate. Seems they are pretty governed in stock form like the QC's are. I drove my QC for over 25k miles and its mileage was on par if not worse than the jeep. Course with the prices of our trucks I've considered buying another QC and putting a gearvendors on it to make highway mileage decent.

Haven't test driven any yet. I have a buddy who recently bought one that I may borrow for a day or two. I don't plan on doing anything until around mid year but I enjoy the looking.

Ive driven a couple and I would recommend one any day.. they are kick ass year round... and fast a hell..

rode in a few and drove a couple...but to me, the truck is pointless...its to small to be a family vehicle, gas mileage sucks (ok who cares), its QUICK to about 60 mph, its not fast and once you get over the intial reactions of your spleen being driven ito your spine it feels slow. makes alot of noise and rides like crap. i wouldnt want to drive one everyday, but then again i drive alot (600 miles a week).
I would rather have a 300, and i think you can fit more in the truck of a 300...ahahahah

my wife has a denali, which we both like...its not as fast a a GCSRT8. but i just drive home and get my viper...oh wait, you didnt hear that...
i drive a 300c i love it, would have gotten the srt8...but really anything is slow after a blown viper.
