Can someone please tell me how to remove the exterior lower plastic door body panel? Someone just scraped the one on my passenger door enough to cut into the clear coat. Thanks in advance for your help.

i would leave it on and have it painted on the truck...

the way to do it right is ridiculously involved... and i'm not sure you can even get the right parts from the dealer any more...

You can take the inside panel off the door and get to the clips from inside the door.

what part are you talking about....

the door cladding mounts with one-way clamps to a plastic piece that gets 234' of two sided tape attached to the door...

as far as i know, there's no way to remove the cladding without breaking the clips... once that's off, you can see the attached piece to the door... which is basically impossible to remove without damaging...

you can barely see the edge of it in the first pic, and the second shows the cab corner piece...

what i can say is mine's NOT installed correctly because that piece on the door we didn't remove to install the clips to the new cladding... there's no way to put the clips back on the actual cladding without removing the black piece attached to the door... at least not that i could tell...

and i may have been drinking:cheers:

I believe that I will get it painted while it is on the truck. I didn't mean to start anything. Just asking advice, but I do really appreciate everyone chipping in. That's what I like about this community. Ask a question and you will get answers. Thanks again everyone!
