I guess of sorts... I found out last night on my DMV's website the child's booster that my daughter has been restricted to can go away and that ugly piece of dung called a booster seat can finally be tossed :D :congrats: We had the official toss it in the trash can ceremony and I toasted it a final farewell as I cracked another brew. :congrats:

What was the height or weight limit...I may be close too

Actually it was based on age. A new law took effect here back on July 1, 2007 that once a child reaches eight, no more booster seat but seat restraints are mandatory. I was surprised as I always thought the booster seat went away based on a minimum weight or height. Maybe they changed these requirements as it could be difficult for the "arresting officer" to judge whether or not the child met minimum weight or height requirements? :dontknow:

Here's the link I found that made my day (and my daughters)

I would check your home state's law, maybe something has changed there as well.

So sorry to hear this.;)

They grow up to fast. One day you will wish for the old days.

Trust me, nowadays I already wish for the good 'ol days. I have an eight year old going on eighteen...:argh: But at least I don't have to look at that ugly 'ol booster seat anymore.

Thanks. I would like another but Father Time is dictating otherwise. I don't want to be heading towards retirement and still chasing the young'in around the yard.

You'll be OK with a race seat and a 5 point harness.
