AC issue..

Anyone ever have this problem?
When I turn on my AC, after like 5 seconds, i hear the belt squealing, and then a thunk. After that it works as advertised. I am assuming the clutch(?) on the compressor could be the cause, or the belt is loose?..:dontknow:

Any thoughts on what it might be?

sounds like a clutch having trouble engaging, my belt squeaks when it get wet from washing or going through a big water hole. i deal with ac issues every day on big trucks.
