I would go for the longer one. That is what I am going to get at my next oil change.

The thread and o-ring diameter is what matters. I don't believe the extra length would hit anything. I will opt for the 25-462 when I buy mine.

No. Just measure your filter housing. You should be able to tell the diff from 2 to 5 inches. Or just ask your wife! Lol. Jk
