When moving my pedals today there was some crunching going on and some plastic fell out from underneath the brake pedal.

Has anyone experienced this? I am guessing the plastic stops the pedal moving from side to side.

I went to my dealer who says you cant buy anything like that from the pedal box so was wondering if anyone had a better fix for this.

i broke mine trying to bleed my brakes from outside the truck (pushing alittle from the side while pushing down)...... dealer replaced the whole electric pedals unit under warranty......... it's kinda wimpy & will be a bigger problem as these trucks get older.......:(

ok thanks guys I will take the whole thing apart and make one off the accel one as I pressume they are the same as they both have the same looking shafts.

When you get it apart Please post pics of the broken parts and your solution to the rebuilding of the pedal assemble, it would be much appreciated. :D :D

I have a complete pedal assy sitting in my garage. If you need we can work something out. It's just taking up space.

Noid many thanks. I will get it apart in the next few days and if I can't fix it will be in touch.

I will post some pics once I have a solution. There was always a little sideways play so I may make something out of a hard plastic with a tighter fit.

Try pores/ self lubricating bronze it don't break, just like a pilot bearing:D :D

Guys, here is the pic of the pedal box where the plastic piece goes that broke.

It is a real PITA to take apart as the pedals are on a worn thread. It would be rather tricky to make a piece fit in there as it is an insert with a hole in the middle so the pedals can move up and down.

Anybody else fixed this any other way other then replacing the pedal box?
