Adjusting trany bands..

Just wondering how to adjust the bands in the auto trany in my QC, does the tranny have to come all the way off or when a valvebody and fluid , and gm conversion kit are being installed can it all be done by just dropping the pan?? thanks..:dontknow:

Front band on the outside and the rearband is on the inside. No removal of trasn necessary for band adjsutment. Dropping of the pan required for rear band adjustment.
