i have 05 srt 10 4 speed automatic,,never really drag race ,just played around with some mustangs and a couple of vetts,,would like some tips on take off ,, thanks,,FINISHER68, PLANO TX .
 
Just floor it. It should hook up great if the pavement is dry and clean. The automatics are super easy. There is no trick really. These trucks hook up!

The trailer tow button is important when doing a dyno run. That is all I have ever heard about it. It makes the shifts smoother and holds the gear higher in the revs if you aren't flooring it. I doubt it improves the launch and definitely does not help the 0-60 times with the smoother (read slower) shifts.

Actually the tow/haul for the 1/4 mile drag is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT....it will keep you from shifting into 4th before the line....
