AHHH OIL on the Ground!!!! Help!!!!

:dontknow: I just bought my 2004 and saw 2 oil spots on the ground what could be wrong opened the hood and didnt see much. All of a sudden then my gages were acting a little funny to. Finally i was pulling it into the garage and im still not completely used to the clutch and it was hesistating and taking off fast as hell coming up the drive way into the garage and i had a foot on the clutch and the brake and had to engage the clutch but keep my foot planted on the brake partly so it wouldnt take off like a bat out of hell into my house. I sounded terriable like it was dying and then id put the clutch to the foor again and it would sound better any ideas guys??????? Im going to take it to the dealer tomarrow but id like an idea wtf could be wrong!!!! :dontknow: so lost right now!

how many miles on it?

what is it idling at?
 
Didn't you just get it? Could be excess that dripped from the wonderful mess it makes when you change the oil. Maybe its left over from the trade in service. Oil filter and drain plug tight?
 
its idling high for one should be under 1000 rpms.

are you sure its oil? if its redish in color its tranny fluid.

sounds like a problem with the clutch or flywheel, one of the more experienced guys should post up soon.
 
Not sure about the oil spots, but the rest could be caused by a faulty throttle position sensor (or connector).
 
was it idling at 1000-1500 rpm fully warmed up or on a cold start. Shouldnt be more then 700 or so rpms at idle I think. Cant remember but do you have an auto or 6spd?

could see maybe clutch due to i havent driven stick in 7 years and im learning again on this (bad idea but oh well hehe) but its oil for sure but this is the first ive seen in 2 weeks plus ive been starting it in the garage and letting it sit due to the weather but one day it wouldnt start until i planted my foot on the gas and clutch in neutral (think it was to cold but weird)

6 speed and it was warm at about 1000 and started cold around 1500 -2000
 
RPM idle does sound all that out of the ordinary. Havent had mine out for quite a while given the snow so my memory of the idle rpm is a little vague.

Mine idles at around 750 after complete warm up. What's the pressure guage read? Warmed up and idling it should be around 40 or so.
 
About 725 RPM when warmed-up. I always start the truck in neutral with clutch in. Once fired-up, let the clutch out to get the tranny warmed up in neutral. I always park with the parking brake on and trans in 2nd. Rear seal could be seeping for the leaks. Not sure about the other problem. :)
 
over 10,000 miles with ya idle ya probably need a tps sensor,

Oil leaks , crawl under and look up , its either the power steering hose, which is likely since you said front .

also look at the rear main, big problem on these critters.

Now the clutch, did I read right it seemed to go without you? or having to push it completley to the floor?

these things eat clutchs like Like I eat pigs feet!LOL

check the clutch, fluid should be clear, if not it needs changing
change to motul 600

check the line from the master cylinder to the slave, it should be well away from exhaust.

also the clutch may allready be fried, get to runnin bout 60, in 6th, rev it up and dump it like you wwere trying to do a 1 st gear burnout, it should engage firmly, if it slips the least little bit , its done, ya need a new one.

GOOD THING I JUT BOUGHT THIS TRUCK, IM FIGHTING FOR FREEEEE EVERYTHING DAMMIT
