better grades than 8th in a class of 500???

Unless they're looking at you seriously to play ball, then you need to be 3.9-4.0. Your recommendations can pull a lot of weight too though. And if you're hellbent on going to USAFA and don't get in right out of school, you can enlist and apply once you get to your first base. They have a bunch of slots each year for enlisted airmen that go unfilled.

AF = better chance at a good family life and better standard of living for everybody. New airmen live in 4 bedroom apartments we call dorms. But you get called a vagina by everybody else.
USMC and Army = More glory with all the deployments. Live in a 1 room with 4 other dudes.

Hehehehe.

I would have loved to have 4 Marines to a room, it was more like 100 when I was in. Yeah, I know, I'm old lol.
