With FI what should the air/fuel look like at 1/3-1/2 throttle no boost? Should it be around the 14.7? Then drop once da boost is induced

Personally I like to see a FI vehicle at around 13-13.5 before boost and at least low 12s under boost. THe best way honestly is to have the data logged while driving and racing to look at the a/f ratio and look for detonation. Any knock detected should be either fattened up in those cells or timing taken away. It could be simple as only a few hundred RPM needing tweaked or the whole map being off and constant detonation. Remember, due to our exhaust and extra cyls it's hard to detect detonation,pre-ignition,knock without computer aid. Datalogging is where you'll milk the most power out of your setup safely!;)

dattalogging

What are you using for dattalogging?

That's my next question.. I have FJO airfuel and watermeth. They can datalog, but they each can only monitor so much. Neither are setup to monitor knock. I can use an aux imput to do that but its only going to show me voltage, but thats probably going to increase with engine speed. So, whats too much?

Is anything going to be fast enough through the DLC? Or is it going to require seperate sensors.

Oh.. one more thing.. Why would you want a FI at 13-13.5 when no extra boost is being added if stoich is good for NA

at half throttle you air/fuel guage aint gonna do ya squat

meaning what? Its not accurate or the computer is closed loop and doing what it wants

if you are using a guage type like the aem they give the best most accurate reading at wot , any other time the engine is searching and trying to achieve perfect ratio , it is a good tool, but your gonna get the most accurate reading at wot with the guage

dont get me wrong luvin, I am not a tuner, nor ever will be, dont want to buy any engines I dont have to because of bad advice or tuning;)

but the guage , like when amtrucker 22 was working on his, the system will hunt perfect ratio at anything other than wot, and the guage will be sorta steady at the throttle, but your gonna get a good steady reading at wot, and preferably uphill, that way you got a strong pull on the engine.

if i was you , I would try to achieve around 12 or under to stay safe on air/fuel,

but if you want really good strong advice, pm patrick redsrtoo7, he is really good at readings and tuning advice bud

Simply Tony is saying your PCM/ECM is going to control A/F at almost every level but WOT....A/F will bounce around somewhere between 14.0 & 16.0 under normal cruise....14.7 is what the PCM is trying to maintain..

Thanks for the help. I usually see
14.5-14.8 under normal driving. Just making sure it didn't need to be fatter with the Paxton.
