air shields in grill?

are you guys running the factory air shields in the grill looks to me to block the air coming in on my cai. i figured they are there for winter driving but dont really know the function.

your CAI will get more air if you remove it but your radiator will get less air flow.

your CAI with the shield is still getting plenty of air.....i say leave it.

depends in which cai you are using, but if it isnt the oem box, you are probably hurting performance more than helping, the oem box works better than most cai , most are actually pullin in hot air from the engine compartment
