Allmost bought a 2008 Viper last night...

As I left work last night I stopped by the dealer, and they actually let me test drive a brand new 08 Viper Coupe.... it was in the show room, and they pulled it out for me!!!

They took my credit, Chrysler came back and said.. oh yeah... its yours.. you got "A" Credit.... but I held off, and decided to not let my "emotions" let me take the car home....

Actually it was Larry Miller... the one closest to my work.. I stopped because I wanted to give Avondale the chance at my business...

It was solid red... and I really would like a green with stripes convertible... but those are hard to find.

I am also looking at 1996 Venom 1000 Twin Turbo GTS, Aero Package, 99 GTS Wheels, and Custom Interior, with 17k miles on it, and 2000 miles on the build, never raced.

I would pass on solid red, but you could get some aftermarket white stripes on it. that 96 sounds good
 
08 with Belanger headers and catback has put down close to 600rwhp.
add 3.33 gears and some drag radials and guys have already cracked into 10's...and avondale will still warranty your car!!!
 
the 08 SRT ACR is very tempting too , i am thinking about ordering one , but it would cost $325K to get it here :mad: :mad:
 
I have an 08 Viper and absolutley LOVE it. There is no other car that compares to these beasts and it runs really strong. Now is the time to snatch one up too. Good luck

If I were going after a Viper, which I wish I could do, the 08 vice the 96 would be sitting in my garage. That is unless you knew the history of the 96. ;)
 
I'm trying to fight the urge to buy an 08 also, luckily I have the GTS to fall back on.... :D
 
The '96 TT will kill someone. With the '08 you'd have a chance as long as you can respect it for being a "snake". Agree with you on the white on green choice but the '09 colors have been announced and also look good.

Are they discounting the '08 at all?

I think I saw some for ~5K under sticker.

Wait until next year and you'll get some serious discounts on new 08's!:D

Yeah... about 5k under sticker... or 2k over invoice...

But I am really leaning towards a pre-owned one right now...
 
There are some on the VCA at invoice or a little below, but they are not the desirable colors or options (there is a vert on there for 80k, sticker is about 90k)

I just checked the VCA Marketplace, and forums, and dont see them.. am I looking in the wrong place...???
