I Called a Company just a few miles awayy from my house called, "Southern Core Inc." There business is buying core items like Starters, Batteries and other Reusable items.

They pay $65 a piece cash for Exotic Type CAT converters. And with 4 on my stock mid-pipes, thats $260 right there. With new CAT-less mids from B&B costing only $340. How can i afford not to????

So, you're telling me that they will pay you $260 for your stock mids with cats? Where do I call, I going to get basically free methanol injection, or may be so 16 inch rims with some slicks.

Keep in mind however that they are located Deep in South Carolina, I dont think they take anything by mail.

Ive been taking old CATs to these guys for a long time. Catalytic Converters are worth ALLOTH of money in the Scrap-yard Business, The Older Bead or Braided types only bring in about $35 a piece, But the Honeycomb or Exotic Types can ring in over $100 bucks a pop, CASH. Find a scrap-yard nearby and make a few calls.

First Post!! I'm waiting for my '05 QC to come in from Chicago.

I live in Charlotte and the theft of catalytic converters is becoming a big problem here. I know there is no way to be sure of it, but try to be sure the scrap yard you are dealing with is reputable. The ones that pay cash to any Joe off the street with a shopping cart full of cats should be avoided. I have a fleet of 8 Chevy 3500 vans for my carpet cleaning business and had all of our cats stolen in 1 night. The police said this is becoming a popular crime because its so easy with a cordless reciprocating saw. Many of the scrapyards in this area are being urged to pay for metal with checks or bank drafts, criminals don't like to show ID.
