Well i think i saved my motor this time... unlike last time where i sucked a TB screw down the intake......after thinking about cleaning the TB for about a week or so i finally did... took it all apart. made sure all the screws were tight when i went to tighten them... they were all Striped!:( after looking closely i found this little crack right here.... causing space on both sides of the throttle body blade and more than likely giving me my high idle issue

so my next question is does anyone know if the throttle body shaft is aluminum? if it is i'm having this bad boy welded up .... i'm not losing another motor like this

i've got no clue man.... really i don't have a freaking clue.... i honestly don't think i did it.. i had some work done on the TB and i think the person working on it did this... but i'm welding it up i'm not losing another motor to some bullshit like this lol..... if i'm goig to blow it up i want to go down withn pistons flying everywhere not some 20 cent screw screwing stuff up

Thanks Tooloe, That makes me want to check mine. Glad you caught it in time, This time.:D

hahahaha KABOOM!! Pistons flying right up through the hood!:D :D :D  :burnout:

Well damn man, i'm glad you caught this problem before some real bullshit
happened. The only way I could see that thing snapping like it did is if
someone wedged something up in there or they twisted the hell out of it
without the blade in between those two bars or whatever.. But yeah welding
it then checking the weld after a while to make sure it still good is your
best bet. Or just buying a new one all together..

Hell no man. Do you have the Xmetal or Roe TB?

its from it dragging on one side ,,,when it would close it would twist that little fork just lil till it snapped ,,;) i think thats hardened stele so it doent like being bent

think it's weld able?

most of the time you can weild it but on harded steel it just cracks further up the line ,,,take a razor knife and see if you can scratch it ,,if you can leave a scratch its not hardened
