Well, got the Dyno runs in tonight and learned alot. The truck has a speed limiter that kicks in at 160MPH. We will get rid of that by the end of the week. The redline is going to have to be increased by 300RPM's to give us another 8 MPH at the top end. If everything goes well with my speed runs, then we will try the NOS on a run or two. The NOS is adding another 140ft.lbs, of torque along with 75 HP. Thats not bad. We have it tuned to run till I hit 5700 rpm's then it cuts off. With that extra torque, we're hoping that it will help mre get into 6th right at the end of the mile to go a little higher than 168mph, we'll see.

Got some pics at Sean Roe's place. One is of Daves lil Hot Rod, looks pretty cool, then some shop photos, enjoy!

After we GET or GOT rid of the rev limiter?? Is it already done or are you going to get it done?:dontknow:

:D

I have been following pretty closely since you started your quest! A lot of work coming to a close... I know I am pulling for you!

put my 6'1" 145 lb ass in the driver's seat and see if that makes a differences...can you say weight reduction?:p

Lucky for me, in Land speed racing, weight is not that bad a thing. In the 1/4 mile, I will just have to think lite! I really appreciate all of the morale support that I have gotten on this site, thats why I run the sticker proudly. Looks like we will have the speed limiter taken care of by Monday, keep your fingers crossed.

Well, I think the chute will help there, but if not, I will use the Fred Flintstone brakes.

Would not help in the one mile course, just get too the red line as I course the traps, might help for bonneville The short course there is 3 miles long.

Thanks Mr. Steve, hey , is there a Cracker barrel near you or are we going to have to eat "Real" fast food on sunday next?

That will work. Doing the royal Purple thing tonight, paint my last brackets. Then We are bolting the roll cage back in and putting all the final touches in. Just a week away now. Can't Wait!!!

Yea, I did the royal purple thing tonight, got a few questions. Going to get the NOS bottle topped off on Saturday, broke my battery cutoff switch, so I got to get another one of those and my neck collor should be ready also. Finish the rollbar saturday and bolt all the new brackets back on and I hope to be good to go.

Well, Got the roll bar all back in, got the battery cut off switch all installed, going to put the colder plugs in, got the fire extingusher installed, parachute system all done. Got the window net and the door bar all installed. Just got a couple of small things to finish up and then detail the truck, take off the mirrors and load her up on the trailer.
