I'm sorry I'm afraid I don't understand. If you aren't being sarcastic could you please explain further?

He means build the motor so you don't blow it up.

I don't want to mod the internals if I don't have to (yet). I can't afford the expense. But I was under the impression that when done right a 150 shot would be safe on a stock motor???

I've been spraying a 150 shot for two years on a stock bottom end and I love it. You should get a nitrous tune on your SCT, use a window switch to control it and go have FUN!!!

Some motors have lasted... some have not:dontknow: roll the dice:burnout:

Yup my friend had a Viper gts ran a 75 shot Kabooooom, And what you know he had to rebuild the motor :( But his SHO took a 100 shot all day. Goodluck tho buddy

The Kablooey Klub has claimed a number of folks here........

Some have been very fortunate....... I'm happy for them.

I was told by some pretty good engineers that the bottom end of SRT-10 truck motors is questionable-'specially under NOS.....

I'm just trying to be the voice of reason, as usual.....

I'm old and I err on the side of discretion....... You don't have to listen to me, bro.....

I value your opinion. So what power adder would you suggest I do next aside from rebuilding the bottoms? Heads and cams? What might that cost? Thanks..

I'm not the guy to answer the heads and cams cost question.....

I'm a simpleton and I don't have to make huge power to be happy.

I like a simple blower kit with a conservative level of boost.... 7lbs is plenty.

Mine was the first Paxton blown SRT-10 truck....... The prototype.

I yanked the cats out and was making about 600 at the tire......(according to DC Performance). It was more than enough fun for me.....

But, like I said, I'm an older guy and more conservative.

It's good to know that enough is enough..... and (more importantly) when that is.....;) (POP...!)

I wouldn't recomend any power adder unless you want to build the motor.

My truck had the Roe on it for a long time, and I was able to have the motor built before she let go. Looking at the stock pistons now... it probably didn't have much time left. Mine lasted, I was lucky... others haven't been so lucky:(

What is your end goal with the truck? How much power do you want? How much $$$$$$$$ are you looking to spend?

If you do it properly the nitrous is fairly safe.

I agree With FATJACK,
I personly have installed A few kits and I like the Zex kit the best.I recommend A high flow filter And solder all connections. If you stay around a 100 shot, you should be safe as long as you don't abuse it.:D

Talk to Justin at JMB Performance, he has a custom kit for our trucks that is very complete that looks and works great!!
