So I was looking at options to play my iphone through the factory radio or upgrade the head unit to something that would. I was going to go with the aftermarket route, but then the guy at Best Buy showed me a bluetooth unit, called isimple transit blu. This unit gets installed between the antenna and the factory radio and pairs up with your phone and anything on the phone can be played through the factory set up. Seemed the perfect solution, keep the factory look and get to listen to Pandora or downloaded music through the iphone and no wires or cords to worry about. I did some searching on the web, and really did not see much in the way of reviews for this product, even though it looks like it has been on the market for several years. So, anyone here have this product or heard any negative feedback on it?

I am supposed to get mine installed tomorrow, so I will report back once I try it out.

Buy one you wont regret it. i was gonna go with and aftermarket head unit also, but decided not to. Bluetooth FM transmitters are awesome of you want to keep a stock look.

Had it installed and works as advertised. There is some lag when switching from FM to my iPhone, but once the phone starts playing, works great. Price was about half of a new head unit, and I retain the factory set up. I would recommend this product.

Probably cost about $170 at Best Buy huh?
If its like the regular iSimple (corded so you can charge your phone) it can be had for about $70 online.
I looked at BB and the price jump was crazy.

Yes, Best Buy was $170, but that included the install. If one is installing themselves, then buying it online would be a cheaper option. I like having a shop do the work, that way I can blame someone else besides me when it doesn't work :D

I'm interested in doing the same thing with my truck. What is the part number for this blue tooth adapter?

Just do a search for isimple tranzit blu, it works with apple or android. I think the part# was ifm23 or something like that.

I threw the box away or I would take a pic for you.

good info. Thanks for the review also. Anyone know of one of these units that may plug into the back of the head unit to be able to use steering wheel controls and maybe talk thru the car speakers as well?
