Folks, have a question. Finally got the PS lines replaced, and when I picked it up, my NEW battery was dead and had to have it jumped. I noticed that while driving, I was only getting around 8 volts on the gage. If I revved the engine to about 3K RPM, the gage would go to the correct charge. I'm assuming it's a bad alternator, does anyone have recommendations on where to buy an OEM?

Get the part number and google it (should be 5037198AA). Keep in mind that you may not find a new OEM one (or even an OEM reman).

You may only need a new belt if your other one got soaked with ps fluid.

That never occurred to me. Yeah, that belt took a bath. Didn't hear any squealing though. Might explain why it would start charging properly with high rpm's.
