OK, I have been reading and listening to people all over the country talk about filing bankruptcy.

Everyone is bitching and whining about how 'tough' the new laws are and that Bush is the anticrist, blah blah, blah, blah.
Does everyone in the entire country really BELIEVE that even though they give their WORD (more importantly sign a contract) that they WILL pay the money back to either c. card companies, mortgages, etc. etc. that it is OK to file some papers and then just NOT PAY????

What happened to personal responsibility? Why is everything ALWAYS someone elses fault???

WHY SHOULD THE BUSINESS THAT SOLD YOU THESE GOODS HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR MISTAKES???

I guess being a business owner, when someone takes something they have no intention of paying for, I see it as theft.
Yes, there are legitimate reasons for filing bankruptcy, as in your are permanently disabled and can't ever work again. I can see things like that. But not having health insurance and racking up huge medical bill, while all the while driving 40 thousand dollar cars???? I don't see that it is anyone's fault but your own. Dig deep, adjust your lifestyle, and honor your commitments.

Flame away, I can take it.

I hear ya brother. Cash is king in this house. Seen to many people go the easy way out because they didn't, in their words, "think".

I remember when getting a credit card was something of a privilege and a trust given to you by your bank, instead of something that just showed up in your mail.

They (credit card companies) got greedy and knew that most were not going to pay off the balance at the end of the month, and someone did the math and figure out how much money they could make charging late fees, and through the roof interest.

I got no pity for either party.
(person filing Bankruptcy or the Credit card companies)
They both made their bed, now they can sleep in it.

Thats The the way they write the laws. In some states there are exemptions that allow you to keep your Pension, Ira even if it had a million dollars in it!!! So there some people filing for BK and still have a million dollars to play with afterwards!
