Thought I would start a thread for post event comments.

I just wanted to tell everyone that I absolutely enjoyed meeting everyone. Even though I didn't stay for the entire event, I accomplished what I initially set out to do; which was to put some names and faces together.

Just some quick observations:

Roy has a smile the size of Texas. I sure wish my college professors would have had the zeal that you have for teaching. Your students should consider themselves lucky.

Trooper and his wife were extremely easy to talk to. Not what I expected from a former Highway Patrolman. Definitely enjoyed the dinner conversation.

Nowwhat is much more personable than I imagined. Very easy going, who possibly has a career in comedy:D . Thanks for making the trip Mike.

Ken, I think you're one of those guys that if befriended, you're a friend for life. It was a pleasure.

Eddie, thanks for the space in your truck. Go easy on the water.

Domonick and Julianna, I've seen you twice now, and I like you better with each meeting. You will make good NC resident's!

DJ--If you can't get along with this guy, then you have serious issues. He's likeable in any language. Daniel, it was a pleasure meeing you, and thanks for all the pics and vids!

Stinker--My pal:rock:

Big Dave, thanks for making the trip back with me. You are a gentle giant, and I truely enjoyed your company. And you are right, half the fun of these events is just riding down the road looking at each other's trucks.

If I didn't name you, it doesn't mean you had any less impact on my trip. I truely enjoyed meeting everyone, and look forward to the next GTG.

Only 364 more days until next years Nats. If you can make it (even if it's only for a day:eek: ), trust me, it's worth it.

Ron

Good post Ron, Couldn't have said it better myself.

Along with the names Ron mentioned, Izzy, FstJack, Doneo, Boomer, Shawn (another big guy), JMB Justin & his dad Marty, Perry and all the others. It's good to be able to put a face and a personality to a name. It helps you better understand a persons post when you know who it's coming from.

Steve Holden was busy wrapping Stinks truck. Once he showed up the breeze began to blow. Although we appreciated him bringing in the breeze (man was it hot), it didn't help him at all in handling the wrap material. That stuff was catching the wind like a sail. But he muscled through it and from what I saw, it's gonna look awesome.

Thank you again Kevan for all you did in preparing our arrival. From the tent to getting us through the closest gate to assembling the grills. It was a pleasure meeting you.

Sorry I left a day early, but I had some things on my mind that I needed to get back to working on. I thought I would be able to handle it from there but it was too distracting. I probably would have traveled on my own but Ron made the trip more enjoyable as we weaved our way through traffic at ....... uhmm...... lets just say, expedited speeds. Had Ron on the phone asking about which radar detector I had :D . Everyone have a safe trip home.

Good to hear Roy. And you're right, the more the better.

I had an awesome time, I finally was able to put some faces with names, that alone was worth the trip. Everyone there had a great attitude and was easy to get along with and BS with, what a great group of people!! A huge thanks to Kevan for all his hard work, the tents were SO NICE for getting out of the sun and relaxing. If you didnt go this year, PLAN TO ATTEND, you will not regret it :burnout: Tony, I will be ready next year, so you better enjoy your victory while you can, damn these pirellis LOL!

It was great to meet some new folks this year like Dominic & Juliana,Roy,Jack,Mike,Ron,Roy,DJ,Izzy,Justin and his dad, as well as some I have met in the past like Shawn,Doneo,Gary,Tony & Joanne,Steve,Kevan,Eddie & Dawn,Steven,Dave,Bill,Ken. I am sure there are some names I missed so forgive me. All the trucks there were quality pieces and reflect the owners personalities in their approach to customizing them to their tastes. A very diverse group to say the least!! I was not being antisocial to the group I just had a lot of things going on in the two days we were there. Thanks for the advice, compliments and most of all the fellowship.
