Another newbie, have a question about dropping the beast

i have an 05QC, looking into dropping....looking for best mfg, and options for the drop amount..........most seem to have a 2/4...but ive heard there is one that is middle ground, i do tow so the 2/4 isnt much of an option for me

You could tow with the 2/4 drop kit but you would also need helper air bags for the rear. For the kit, go with Boomer at X-metal, thats where I got mine from.

X Metal makes a "Mid" drop kit for the QC's... I think it's a 1/2 drop. That would be your best bet.

I posted pics of mine here, its got the x-metal drop and its a 1 to 1.5in drop in the front and the rear is dropped even, about 3 or 4in I believe.

You will find that the X-metal is the best drop overall, I just finished mine two weeks ago and it does ride fine and I've been told that you can still tow. Welcome to the circus too!

Mine's on a 2/4 drop with helper airbags but I tow 4500 pound jetsled behind it!! Mine is a McGaughys but Boomer does just as good a job and everyone here swears by him.

I have been running the X-Metal drop kit (1" - 2") for almost two and a half years now... zero issues... the only way to go IMHO.
