ant suggestions

we just tore down my friends motor due to oil blowing out of catch can, we had two cylinders low. expecting to see broke rings, hole in piston, even stuck rings, suprise everything looks great. cylinder walls everything. any sugestions?

And fire ants are worse yet.
First met them in the back woods of Ft Benning,GA in 1985.We were doing a week long bivouac and had PT in the wee hours of the morning with a scant few 40w incandescent bulbs up near the instructors(I was out in the exercise "area").
First exercise was pushups.............front leaning rest position.Put my hand right on a nest of the fuggers in the darkness.Suddenly met about 10-15 very angry fire ants that were more upset at the intrusion and early hour than I was . NEVER in my life wanna see another fire ant,much less have another up-close-and -personal experience.

Everyday ,on the way to and from chow,I went out of my way to stomp a fire ant nest while at Ft Hood ,TX in 1988.Scant satisfaction for the pain their cousins inflicted on me ,though.

I want a catch can for my truck,and want to know of any potential problems.

Did you do a leak down test in addition to the compression test? What was the loss percentage?

Is there any sign of detonation on the top of the pistons or a sand like substance on the plugs?

Does the catch can feel line have the ability to bleed the line back into the crank case when the engine is not running, rather than draining into a low point in the line or into the catch can? Do you have steel wool or some other oil catching material in the catch can?

Does it blow immediately or only after the engine is warm?

Are the cylinders round? Some times they become oval shaped and the rings can look fine and the walls can be un-scarred they are just out of round and the blow by point is hard to detect...

You might check the head gaskets.
