well Ronnie Setser (guy that did the work) ran the antenna inside the fender, the length of the fender pointing toward the front of the truck. he recommended I buy a FM signal booster (15 bucks on ebay) Ebay Linky in case the reception suffered. I haven't noticed a difference in reception, but I live in a metropolitan area, and I don't drive the truck long distance.
