OK, Here's one that's completely off topic. My in-laws have a piece of jewelry that they are considering selling. Problem is, we have no way of placing a value to it. My father-in-law during WWII (1943) was overseas in Africa. He had one of the craftsmen in a village near where he was stationed make this bracelet. It has the 12 signs of the zodiac plus the sign of the village in the center. I think it's an elephant under a plam tree. He was near Elizabethtown. I really have no idea why they're thinking of selling it. You'd think it would have more sentimental value than cash value.
We were told that it is silver with a gold overlay (whatever that means). We were also told that to find the same quality and craftsmanship in todays market would cost thousands in time alone. And it may very well be a one-of-a-kind. Here are some pictures of it. If anyone has any info or history on jewelry from this era. Please let me know. TIA
