Any aftermarket shocks for stock QC?

If you can get me the extended and compressed dimensions I can advise you on several shock options. I have the dimensions for Regular Cabs but I do not know if they are the same.

I have tested 6 different sets of shocks on my RC and they have diffeerent characteristics. Let me know if I can help- john

we are releasing new shocks in 2 weeks.
we are going to be offering a drop in stock replacment
a rebuildable non-adjustable
a single adjustable thats rebuildable
a double adjustable thats also rebuildable
we will offer them in stock length (but why!;) ) and in our lowerd lengths.

Gary,
Whick ones do you recommend for all-out drag racing performance, while also being able to be switched for street use? And what will the approx planned price be? Any that are remotely adjustable, or are all easily accessible while installed on a lowered vehicle? Thanks in advance.

For the best overall ride quality/value, I believe the Doetsch Tech Nitro-Slammer is the best choice at less than $160/set of four.

Stay Away from purchasing anything from AIM Industries -their stuff is junk!

For the best of all worlds the QA1 single or double adjustables cant' be beat, but they are expensive at $139 each for the single adjustable and $279 for the double adjustables.

email me if you want part numbers.

Greg - my current drag race setup is QA1 double adjustables in front and Monroe 50/50 drag race shocks in the rear.

The doubles let you adjust both compression and reboud seperatley so you can really dial it in.

This setup is working for me and the 50/50's are only $30 each so it is economical also.

probably the most practical way to go would be QA1 single adjustables up front and the 50/50 on the rear and you would have about $300 in all four.

Hope this helps - johh

How would you describe the ride quality compared to stock?

Thanks for the info John. I have one question about it though. Isn't 50/50 on the rear a bit bouncy on the street? I would like my truck to handle like a stock truck on the street and do not mind spending a little extra to have it that way.

Greg

I believe they handle better and they do not have the rough ride that some shocks do. It is hard to desribe shock ride quality and everybody will have different opinions, but for a good daily driver sport shock you would have a hard time beating these (Doetsch Tech Nitro-Slammer ).

Greg - yes those 50/50's are not bouncy but they are very firm. If I drove my truck daily I would put the QA1's on the back also.

50/50's are for the track and a short drive only!

John,
Thanks again for the info. I do drive my truck almost daily and would like to keep it drivable. I was planning on going with the QA1 doubles, both front and back long before today, but now I am very interested in seeing what boomer has to offer us next week. Looks like I will be waiting for more info from him before making a decision. I am sure whatever he has up his sleeve will be bad-azz!!

I also thank you for the info John. I may switch to the Doetsch Tech Nitro-Slammer to improve the ride quality. The stock shocks wouldn't be so bad except for the awful road conditions we have around my location. Wouldn't mind something that absorbed the bumps a little better. Ifin's you have those part#'s handy for a stock height RC, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Have a good weekend. Big Dave

Did you test the Edelbrocks Shocks?
