2005 H2 Hummer, derated engine power, RPM only climbs to 2000RPM, wont shift into overdrive, also second problem is that damn key wont turn into the last click to let it come out of the ignition.

P0740 - torque converter clutch solenoid circuit.
P0785 shift/timing solenoid.
P2761 underfined code.

Any ideas on testing these solenoids, where they are located, and if possible maybe part numbers that I can order to fixem myself. Our local dealer cant get to this thing until Jan 6 and I kinda need it.

Your codes are for the TCC and shift solenoids that are all fed battery power on the same circuit. The first thing I have to ask is do you have a remote start on that vehicle? All those codes come up under 1 bulletin which is for a loss of voltage caused by remote starts. I have seen that before too.

If not then first check for battery voltage with the key on at the IGN 0 fuse (10 amp) in the IP fuse box. Use a voltmeter to check that, I have seen a lot of bad ignition switches not completely powering up circuits. I have seen anywhere from 0 - 9 volts on ignition circuits doing screwy (technical term) things.

Not being able to release the key may or may not be related to the above problem, I will guess it's related though.

Sorry for the late reply, had internet issues the last 2 days. I will check the voltages tomorrow when I get to work and will post up. Oh and yes there is a remote start.
