Any recommendations for new tires?

Pretty soon my truck will need some new tires and a friend of mine recommended I try Kumho tires, but after reading a few negative reviews I am not sure I want to go with them. Has anyone used Kumho tires before? Should I go with Pirelli tires or can someone recommend another brand out there that provides excellent performance. I would really appreciate any suggestions or advice.

kuhmo ecsta STXs are good tires. Had it on my SUV with 22" and they're quiet, smooth, and last pretty long.
