ANY Turbo-ed SRT-10's Surviving Out There?

After seeing the feedback on the STS thread I posted earlier, I was wondering if there are ANY folks out there with a turbo(s) on their V-10's?

What size turbo would be applicable to 505 cubic inch as in single set-up?

Or even twins? ?

OH YEAH... There are some turbo guys here... :rock: I think they are all running TWINS tho. Most are over 1000HP. "Stinker" will chime-in sometime, I'm sure.

Underground racing is where I would go. They currently have the fastest or 2nd fastest twin turbo vipers, now they are doing the SRT trucks. I bought my replacement motor from the owner of Underground Racing, very nice guy. If I were to build a truck from scratch, it would go to Underground Racing for twin turbos or DC Performance for supercharging.

Alot will depend on what you want to do. For road racing I guess you could dial down the boost for the roadcoarse...for drag racing adjust it for the conditions on the track.

I can get you a deal from ugr after heffner challenge but still 30k-40k I do suggest billet mains and forged bottom

I run twin 67's you can do 76's

I figured up mine today and have 25k in it with no labor

no hp figures yet maybe friday

Steve- how thick are the header flanges? Can one just purchase the turbo headers from you?

The system I have is a pro turbo system, I was their guiny pig so to speak.

I had some problems but please no one bring it back up, Steve is a good man and dont want his sales affected.

The system itself is good outta the box, many choices you can make.

different blow off valves, wastegates, turbos.

I doubt they will just sell you the headers , but not sure

fit is pretty good as long as you have a RC, QC's take some adjustment.

I should know by this weekend on hp

But think of the tings you wiill need also, fuel pumpl, injectors, soon , and Steve can help you with this.

Thats all I can think of for know heres some pics

I would love to see someone here do a single, and have a tuner that knows Turbos tune it an see what would happen, I think people would be surprised

this forum has bad feelings towards turbos and that needs to change, the vipers have been running them for years, but STS put a bad tasted in everybodes mouth, and a REAL turbo system is nothing like that.

I almost bet that DJ Cherokee would be game for it, but he would need a tuner, and probably Macedo would be best, and he may travel for that , especially at a good price.

think about it, if things change tonight and go well, I may try to change peoples minds about turbos.

I'm all for turbos/twin turbos just cant quite afford to do it. The gains with the turbos with my internals vs tweaking the boost on what I have doesnt seem to be cost effective.

Honestly Dave I think with the twin set up around 9k I think and nothing else but a fuel pump, and vec, and stay with 5psi and a good turbo tuner, I think 7-750rwhp is a real number and safe.

I cant really say much without proof, but alot of variables played a role in my destruction.
