Anybody ever buy property from a tax sale?

The property next to us may go under auction because of back taxes. Apparently in my county you fall 2 years behind they auction.

Anyone ever buy something off a tax auction?

No, but lots of people do. Just make sure to check the property out before you bid on it, because my understanding is that if there are any other liens on the property you get those, too

Also, in my state and county, once you buy the property, sometimes you have to hold it for a year or so before you can turn it because the old owners and other interested parties have to be notified in case they have any claims. I'm sure the rules vary from state to state and county to county ........
