Anybody following this train accident?

First off, what a terrible thing. My heart goes out to all those effected by this. Especially those whose loved ones are still missing, as I know exactly how that feels.

They are reporting on the local news here that there is evidence that the Metrolink engineer had been sending and receiving text messages in the minutes leading up to the crash. The crash happened when he ran a red signal and hit a freight head on. The engineer is one of the dead.

Once again, my condolences to all those that lost people in this disaster, and best wishes for a full and quick recovery to all those injured.

I saw that incident earlier, switching today between CNN and the weather channel. Horrible situation and accident. I heard a few hours ago the engineer of the commuter train ignored a stop signal. I hope there is more to it than this. My prayers go out to those who perished, injured and their families.
