I think I gave myself a hernia yesterday, but I am not sure.

Anybody have any insight?? :dontknow:

ntw0rk, This hernia (inguinal) is usually lower (almost bottom) of your torso, sometimes your intestine can even migrate into your scrotal sac. Just don't panic it is a very common occurrence in men, and a relatively easy fix. Because of it's location it is more difficult to do this lapro.

I've got a hernia, it is in the area of my navel. Doc found it a few years back, I was planning on getting it fixed up but then lost insurance. Don't know if it's the same kind you are talking about or not.

No OC, same idea (tear in muscle creates intestinal outcropping) just different location. The inguinal can be more painful, and should not be neglected. Recovery time is a little longer as well.

It's a little weird, just don't get nervous, it's an easy fix. Usually same day in and out . My 24 yr old son just had his repaired about two weeks ago. He's doing fine.

Just really, really bad timing!!

It's not too painful, but I think it is the cause of my nausea. This sux!

Mine doesn't hurt at all, unless one of the kids sticks a finger in my belly button heheh.

Do you have he "bulging" or "outcropping" ? :dontknow:

Yeah, I guess you would call it a bulge, about the size of a marble. Feels perfectly round... But it's VERY tender!:argh:

My only concern is the nausea. I hope your not misdiagnosing an appendicitis attack.

From what I understand, appendicitis is not a lump in your nutsack! :dontknow:

Now that you made that PERFECTLY clear, My bet is inguinal hernia..............:) PS you may be able too "tuck it back up" it would then need to be supported. Please go to the doctor asap.

Glad I could clear that up for ya! ;)

My wife is VERY concerned about this... I haven't seen her for almost 4 weeks!!

:D:D

One of the dangers of not getting a hernia repaired is called strangulation.

The muscle tear is always trying to repair itself...if successful (and it will eventually be successful), it can cut off the intestine that is protruding through the tear.

Yeah, I read that somewhere. I will eventually get mine fixed, too painful not to. Bob needs to get his repaired too!

Mine will just have to wait.
