Anybody Have This Problem?

:dontknow: I just noticed this today. Looks like Chrysler didn't think this part through. The driver side door has been tearing into this and I didn't even know. What's worse is the passenger side is showing subtle signs of the same problem. Does anyone know if this is a warranteed item?

There was a TSB dealing with the door seals. If you still have a warranty they should be fixed for free, maybe free anyways being a TSB and all.:idea:

All thew 04's and some 05's had these now upgraded recalled.:rock: :rock:

Yeah, I still have warranty. I wish I saw that last week when the truck was in the dealershop... Looks like I will have to take a trip back for this issue.

Call First, and have them order it otherwise youll have to go back again anyways because they probably wont have it there.

Mine looked just like that. It took 20 minutes to change both of them out. The new seal that is not raised in the spot that contacts the door. Make sure you get them to change both at since they will both eventually do it. I would call ahead as mentioned, the service guy said that they are very often not in stock. It appears that my work order has them listed as 55277190AB & 55277191AB

what is TSB!! ive noticed that mine could be a problem! i didnt buy my truck from a dealer-ship! so what are your thoughts on that! OH yeah i! i stoped buy the other day to bitch about a screw that was missing! the first time they said sorry we dont have it! guess its not a warranty!!! and the belt skeaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! started at 13k now at 14 im pissed! and i made the mistake of asking if the belt was a warr. part! the reply was "how many miles do you have on it!" i said 14.2k and he says we only cover belts for 12k! that i consider is my mistake! im thinking my next vehicle will be a zo6 not a viper! i dont make enough money to be selective on dealerships! and there is only one dodge near me! and thats not the first "BAD" experiance ive had with them! i love my truck! My warranty is up dec. and they want to sell me an extended, for a ton of money!! "viper" what are your thoughts! i dont have the money to mod! and i am happy with what the truck can do! hey! I should write a book! wait i just did!

i also had mine replaced there is a new updated version so it wont do this again. it still needs to be replaced under warranty.

I got mine replaced last year. Had to get them ordered in (2 days). Took the truck over....didn't even turn it off...10 minutes...sign the work order...$0.00....DONE.

The weatherstrip seals are a MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. That means 3 yrs./36,000 miles....no charge...regardless of ownership.

Bill- if you think the Dodge warranty is rough, try it on a Z06.
