The shields pull right out. Grip it with some Vice Grips. Wiggle it a little and they will slide right out. Before you remove the plug spray a little compressed air in there to chase out any sand or dirt. Remove plug. Install new plug. Push the shield back in. Put plug boot back on. Nine more to go.
