Am I the only one on this site that does any karting?

Yes I know I'm a bad boy for not suiting up...it was hot that day.

Have always wanted to but other toys got in the way in regards to time and money. Have seen some of those karts haul some serious ass

Always wanted to cart. They race here at the local speedway on Saturdays. Just couldn't justify the cost of starting up the hobby.

Stretch

I've got over $20K in it, but that's a 125CC shifter kart for me and a 125 CC TAG kart for my wife, and a trailer to haul it around in. Heres some Spec for our karts.

0-100 in six seconds for a 125 CC shifter kart (although my kart has 43 hp, which is 5 more than theirs was a test time). It's actually a little painfull to do a flat out 0 to whatever run. Since your are sitting down with nothing keep your head from going backwards (except the foam neck brace) plus wearing a helmet...it's a lot of g force.

more specs...

This is the one hobby i wished i could do!!!! instead i'm stuck turnin wrenches...I would love to race karts, when i was younger i used to build my own karts and use 5hp briggs..The fastest beast i ever built ran off an 8hp that i got off a old compressor..SOmeday i will race

Yea, no shit huh :dontknow:

Would have to build a stretch cart :D

Not to mention needing an extra 20HP just to keep up with all the 5'8" 165lb dudes racing. I live racing carts, but when you weigh in at 250, your cart doesn't have the same get-up-an-go that the same cart has when under a 150 pound ass. I love doing it, but would never be competitive.
