A member here sent me some speakers fedx and they damaged one of them. He paid for insurance so I took some pics, emailed them to him. Fedx paid the clame and he ordered me some brand new replacements from crutchfield which I recieved a week or so later.

If fedx doesnt take care of you, call your bank card and they will help you.

I just hope they pay or find it would prefer they find it so i can get the truck done:(

they lost a rifle of my brothers that he was sending to have custom work done on it and they ended up buying him a GA Precision rifle to replace it. cost about 7 grand so he made out to the good on that deal.

The key with shipping companies is to stay on top of it, Get the paperwork to them as fast as possible and call everyday, multiple times if you have to, thats the only way youll get results.

Oh i had to asked how can you misplace such a heavy piece, i know the box didn't fall apart it was taped on all edges and around the middle and around the top and bottom. My guess would be somebody noticed the name one the box "GV"and the value .
Today will start never ending phone calls and emails to them.

Did you insure the package? If not good luck. The 23rd was not that long ago, maybe it will show up in a little time? I hate couriers, doesnt matter what name is on the side of the truck. They can and will loose whatever no matter the size and weight. We are exclusive to DHL/Loomis where I am and they are a bunch of idiots.

I FedEx'd a bid for a job that was due the next morning once. I called and FedEx said it was delivered but the client said they never got it. I called again and they gave me the name of the person who signed for it. Apparently the package was delivered across the street to the wrong address. I drove to the place and spoke to the person who signed for it and was going to pick it up myself and hand deliver it myself. The person who signed for it, noticed it was not for them since it was mixed in with other tiems and called FedEx back not knowing I was on my way there. By the time I got there, FedEx had already picked it back up. I called them again and again but they could not locate the driver. The package didn't get delivered until the next day. I would have been the low bidder on the job had it been there on time. I called attorney and they said if I didn't have insurance on it, I will get nowhere. How do you insure paper that may or may not be worth something? :dontknow:

I was pissed off to no end... FedEx sucks...

A friend of mine works at Fedex and we recently talked about this. He stated that Fedex holds the number of lost packages tight to the chest however using insurance claims as a basis and assuming fedex at least breaks even with those claims the figure is around .60%. As for number of packages shipped daily he said it varies but peak shipping days will see nearly 10,000,000 a day. 99.4% seems pretty good delivery rate however do the math.....If 99.4% of the packages are delivered successfully that leaves 60,000 packages a day missing!!! Doh!:dontknow:

They have never said anything about a secondary insurance coverage for the packages, i know ups does.
Stated on the order form " Our liability is limited to $100 per package unless you declare a higher value." My declared value is 2,700.00.

you should be fine. someone stole that shit....lol

So the lesson learned in this thread? Get insurance on all shipped items even if it's important documents. FedEx sucks, DHL is terrible and UPS offers secondary insurance. Oh and NEVER leave McDonald's without first checking to see if your green chile cheeseburgers include meat.. so you won't go to jail.. and won't have to take prescription meds. :dontknow: How in the hell did Dom connect all of that anyway?
