I know there are several members here that spend a lot of time away from their fams. Does anyone use it? I have it installed on my laptop now and I am waiting for my wife to download it to hers.

Okay my wife set hers up and we had a short video conference. It is neat! using our webcams we were able to tell each other good night face to face and still be 15 miles away. Our 3 year old really got a kick out seeing her daddy talking on the computer. I recommend it to those who are stuck away from their loved ones. It is free and takes only a few minutes to set up.

actually going today to buy jase a laptop with a built in webcam and a external webcam for our laptop so we can talk to him and see him. will let you know when we get it travis.

The website says the free version gets 1 minute video message. Is that all you can talk, or is that like a stored message?

Nevermind, answered it myself. It's actually a message that you can send to people via email. Pretty cool.

I talked to my wife and daughter for at least 5 minutes last night. There may be a limit on a video message but the "web video call" was longer. Not sure how long the free version is. That's what I was curious about was how much you could do for free. Basically it worked great for me. It allowed me to tell my daughter goodnight and I love you face to face instead of the phone. I loved it.

I use Skype. It is free also. The coolest thing is that long distance or local is all free as long as the other party has it too. Very cool.

Busy!!!!!!!
With 3 kids now and nuclear plant full of hungry customers and still the restaurant to run...Very busy!
Hopefully now I can finish the dragster and get another truck LOL

I use Skype.

When I'm out of Country I buy the Unlimited World Account 12$

This gives me free calls to any number. But it also gives me 3 internet numbers.

So I set one up for Houston one for my mom in Michigan. Then I set me Skype to forward to my Singapore Cell phone number.

So my wife wants to call me she dials my local skype number, if skype is off or i don't answer it in 10 seconds then it forwards to my cell phone..............AND IT'S ALL FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's saved me and my company thousands of dollars.. I've also got about 15 people running it here and they can't thank me enough... Hell of a Deal if your gone all the time.
