I work at a dealership in MD, and a Silver QC just came in last night. Not sure of all the details yet, but once I know I will post them. As far as I can see after walking around it I cant see anything wrong with it. Once it is in the system I will post a link as well as some pics if I can, as well as price. just wanted to see if anyone is interested. TGIF!!

Tony

UPDATE: Here is the info from the dealer FAQ sheet. VIN 3D7HA18HX5G814553 $31,990
2005 SRT-10 QC
Mileage 3,954
***tires are brand new however I did find a few scratches and scuff marks which are mostly unavoidabel. other than that the truck is very well taken care of. It also has a Magnaflow Catback exhaust. I know the price is kind of high but I will post as updates come in

Tony is that really a high price for a 05 QC? If so, I might have gotten taken to the cleaners. I researched the prices on these trucks and I thought that I got a pretty good deal paying 32,900 for a 2005 QC w/ 13K miles.

Sort of an expensive lesson, I guess.

I think its a good deal, Though I have seen them on Ebay going for less. Plus the market is kind of down for them right now. KBB and NADA still list them valued at over 34K so its still below book.

Okay that makes me feel a bit better. I have seen a huge disparity in prices for these trucks and I have been told that the reason is because of the prices that they are bought for at the auctions. I have actually seen a few QCs North of me in Tulsa, OK that have around 25K and they want 34K or 35K for them. Thanks again and take care.

What kind of trade in do you think you would be able to give me on my '04 RC? I might be interested (the wife keeps hassling me about getting an automatic). I live in Virginia so it wouldn't be too far for me.

oh I just pm'd you, didnt realize you were in VA. I really cant gaurantee anything as far as the trade in as that is not my department. The gentleman who traded in the QC must have gotten a good deal. Im thinking somewhere around 26+ for it when he traded it in. I just got here this morning and I will check on the details. We are in Frederick, MD, so Im not sure how far of a drive that would be for you.

Heres a few pics I took with my phone sorry for the crappy quality

They will rake you over the coals on a trade.... any car dealer will. :dontknow:

Let me know some more info on your truck (milage, wrecks?, major dings/scratches, etc) and what you need to get for it. I may be interested in buying it from you. Pictures would be nice too... my email is [email protected]

Thanks. :)

I would have to agree with you partly on that one. MOst dealers will do that for the fact that they want to make the best money. I avoid dealerships whenever possible. Not sure how other dealerships do it here, but we use not only KBB, and NADA but Black book value as well as auction value to see what price the vehicles are going for. Obviously a dealer wont give you more than wwhat they are asking for but it will be close to it. Weve had a couple SRT-10's here. All have gone for the low 30's and we even had a RC go for 27,500. I always say that sometimes its best to sell privately. However sometimes it takes a long time, but if you have the time or a legitmate buyer I say go for it. Problem for my area is that the demand for them is down. The last SRT-10 we had sat for over a year, and eventually sold for well below Book value. But I will agree with you that most dealerships bend you over the table and hand you theyre deal in a most unpleasant way. :)

Just FYI- Black Book Value on a '04 RC SRT-10 is ~$23,990. (As of a week ago)

most around here only give wholesale for trades, so they should have some play room on the price.

yeah I noticed that one too. We usually try to go above black book and go more towards KBB and the auction prices which are closer to 27k+. I almost traded mine in a few omnths ago and the dealer i went to only used black book and offered me only 19,500 for my truck. Needless to say I still have my truck :)

I'll go ahead and put this now that the deal this morning fell through due to miscommunication. I had asked my mangers for numbers which I had passed on To Dennis and his wife. Unfortunatley after they drove 4+ hours to get here they were quoted far less than what theyre truck was worth. Which makes me look like the bad guy, which I am not trying to be. I had asked for a quote to pass on and that is simply what I did. Im pissed that not only were they misled but also myself. I dont think I will be working here much longer if good people like dennis and his wife are going to be misled like that. So once again Dennis I apologize for everything, and I feel that you deserve a lot more.
