I have heard that there are a lot of Iraq Vets that are not very impressed with the movie...I would like to hear more from vets on it...

I have a difficult time with war movies, but since this one has so much publicity I may try to see it...but would like more opinions first.

It's just so dramatized Roy. Pretty much like every other war movie out there... like when they throw a frag grenade and it looks like the Air Force dropped a freakin 2,000 pound bomb:hmmmm: That really pisses me off every time lol

There's a part in the movie where the 3 EOD guys are rolling through the desert in 1 vehicle by themselves. First off, that's just not gonna happen. Then, they come to the rescue of a British SAS team that can't change a tire:p Before long they come under fire, and now they all the sudden become this expert sniper team. While the SAS guys are hiding behind some boulders scared shitless, the EOD guys pick up a Barrett 50cal and start taking dudes out at like 1000 meters.

One minute, they're these amazing bomb techs, that always go play with the bombs instead of using a robot to blow them in place:bike: Then they're a sniper team that's aparently had years of training together, even though they just met a few days ago. Then they're super soldiers chasing insurgents down dark alleys:p Just so unrealistic.

Heard the guy it was loosely made about is suing because they kinda made him into some kind of nutcase.

I personally havent seen the movie but I know that other Iraq vets are not too pleased with it at all. Especially The Founder of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Paul Rieckhoff. Im tryin to find the review he wrote on it. Many vets including myself are looking at this as,now Hollywood has an open door for movies about Iraq Afghanistan etc and can do whatever they want with it. The ones I like are the home movies and documentaries because it shows real life. My main concern is Hollywood just destroying the true stories and creating their own fantasies. I know many Vets including myself dont want to relive our experiences of War much less watch movies about them. I was there I know what its like and I really dont care for Hollywoods interpretation of it.
