ANYONE WANT A STS SYSTEM?

I wonder if the guy has a clue why it hasn't sold in his last 3 ebay auctions...............huh...............

Guys, I see ANNU is not online today so can I ask one stupid question? :D Why are yall making fun of this 'kit'? I know the technial difference between a turbo and a supercharger but why will this not work properly? educate me ;)

Im going to go out on a limb here and say the STS could work if done right. Its a proven system on other vehicles, just not on the truck..YET (except proven failure lol :( ) BUT, I think it could possibly work well if installed, tuned, and monitored correctly.

which isn't the case in 90% of the cases?:dontknow:
These are incorrectly sold as bolt-on systems ?:dontknow:

Yes, and the "shippin" is only $150. ;)

:dontknow:

"and 32% increase in torque, at only 5 punds of boost."
What unit of measure is a pund??

They are sold as bolt-on, but in some cases he flaw is actually in the design of the system not the install or tune. But I don't believe it is the case here...(Just a guess of course, not proven yet)

Just to be clear, there have been a series of Boooooms! with the STS in our trucks. To date I think there is one that is still living...but Patrick may be right. If done correctly, and carefully, it might prove to be an effective modification, just none of us seem willing to try...

The Boooms have been catastrophic, rods out the side of the block, pistons dusted, cranks and rods destroyed...we are a little jumpy when someone mentions STS...as a matter of fact, I think Stinker sends them to his enemies, free of charge.

thanks for the update prof, now the million dollar Q: any idea WHY this is making so much damage? In the end it add more O2 to the cilinders (from a certain rpm) just like the charger isn't it?

Maybe someone that has destroyed an engine should respond...or someone who has studied the issue. I was just plain chicken...went with the Roe...

the sts blows engines because they spray supplemental fuel in the intake air stream, which isn't evenly distributed into all the cylinders. larger injectors and a new tune would make this work. also, 5 psi from a turbo is just sad. turbos are for 12+ psi, superchargers are for 5-12 psi

ah they spray fuel, that explains it if not distributed prperly. I thought a turbo was a turbine (driven by exhaust fumes) to compress more inlet air = more O2 to the engine just like the supercharger (which uses the engine belt to compress the air). Told you it was a dumn question :( thks wizards. I'm back to the offensive section now :D
