Down here in Miami we have a Diesel shop called GAW diesel and they have a lot of diesel trucks running the streets down here, tuned. I was wanting input on the tuning and the programs, because this shop does in house dyno and tunning, so he said he would be able to do it on the SRT-10 also? Any advice:confused:

I would suggest having it done by a reputable viper tuner. These trucks are temperamental creatures.

Certainly not. An SCT tuner from Sean at Roe Racing will do you right. Sean has great customer service too!!!

NO NO NO! Thats a good way to waste a motor...
He was telling me they get the tuner then make the program with the in house dyno and then load it to the tuner...isn't that the way they all are? I thought they would be pretty capable of doing it since they tune diesels all day btw he said he's done a few srt-10's but I have no one to hear the results with their tune

What does tuning a diesels have to do with a 12,000$ v-10??? Your in florida, if you should contact Roe Racing I think there in florida. Unless your ok whith that guy learning how to tune a v-10 on your truck.

Prof says it best - Good tune = Zoom
Bad tune = BOOM!!!

you have a kick ass tuner in your back yard but, look up doug levin motorsports, he does a ton of vipers,

this is not something you want someone to play with ,

but its your choice...........you feel like gambling $20,000?:)

Thanks stink! I never knew that there was someone right here...he is literally 10 min away from me!!! Knew something good would come from this thread... I just don't want the generic tune...I did it with my diesel and blew head gasket's and 3 egr cooler's... I want a custom dyno tune!!!:congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

Roe Racing.

Levin Motorsports.

DC Performance.

Underground Racing.

There may be a couple of others, but that is the extent of the list I would ever recommend.

I spoke to Levin and he told me that it is not really worth the money to do a programmer...what kind of HP number's (both claimed and to the wheels) does a good tune put out for the 4 door? I've heard the program is better results on the 4 door over the 2 door?

I'll wait for some of our happy DC Performance-tuned people out there to chime in... but we certainly don't share the same stance!

Not only more HP, but coupled with the right t-stat, your truck will run a lot better/more efficient!

PM me and let me know how I can help get you set up!
