I have a question about doing a hidden V1 install. Are there any installers here? I am not looking on wiring into the rear view mirror, but a real hidden install.

Do you have questions about the install? I will be glad to help. I am a certified car electronics installer. If you have not already bought the unit, I would recommend getting a Beltronics RX75. It is designed to be totally hidden. It comes complete with laser deflectors that are installed behind the front and rear bumpers. I have installed a couple of these and they work very well. But if you are stuck on the V1 I will be glad to help. One idea is to remove the casing of the unit and install the left/right and up/ down led lights on your dash flat and run wires to them from the electronic part of the unit that you can hide...anywhere like behind your dash. If you lay the lights flat, then you can see their reflection in your windshieldlike a mirror. Kind of like how the caddy's have the speedo. It is a really cool effect the left/right and up/down are floating out in front of you. They could be flushed on the long panel at the very tip of the dash, you know where the center channel speaker is. Anyway, if you have any questions or need help I am here everyday.cguru:

That would look sweet during night time driving.. Like a heads up display. But what about bright daylight? I suppose you could splice bright LEDs in with the corresponding arrow LEDs and have them mounted elsewhere in plain view on the dash.

I have the rx75 in my truck, but I am debating what to do about my soon to be delivered 09 Challenger. I was thinking about going with a V1/Laser Interceptor setup. That seemed to be the best combo out there. I of course live in a state where I would never use this setup unless I left it.

Yea for daytime display I have installed a single led that was flushed into the gauges like the speedo. It was really cool and warns you quick but gets kinda bright at night.
