Will gen 2 studs work in a gen 3? I found a good deal on a set and seeing if they are worth getting

Don't know but just because you are asking about a GEN 111 you really don't have to make 3 threads .........................Someone will chime in soon ...lol

Got it, no worries

I know a few engine builders that will only use OEM head studs because they are stronger and don't stretch, but check with your builder and see what he tells you or recommends.

I work in a state of the art machine shop so I'm the engine builder lol

This would be a new one on me... no OEM head bolts I have ever seen would come close to the tensile of an ARP 8740 stud, let alone the ARP-2000 studs that are used in the Viper application.

Just telling ya what I was told, the two builders had some ARP head studs stretch and it wasn't good and they never had an OEM head bolt stretch.:dontknow:
