I got tickets to go to the Biltmore for Christmas and I plan on using them sometime after Boomer's GTG. Any of you folks wanna meet up for a beer and burger one day/night?:dontknow:

Its a bit of a drive for me ;)

You will enjoy the Biltmore, went this past Christmas and had a great time. Recommend to stay at the Biltmore Inn.

I've never been! I am very exciting about going. The place has fascinated me since I was a kid!! You'd think I would have been already since I love architecture.

The Biltmore is a great place to see. I've been a number of times and see something new each time I go. They offer some guided behind the scenes tours that are worth taking. They take you to areas not open to the public. There's rooftop, rooms under renovation and basement areas to name a few. You can also visit the winery and there's the Deer Park Inn restaurant so you don't have to leave the premises to get a bite. The gardens are also very popular. Have a great time.

I'm in the same boat as mmmmtorque. Quite a drive for me. Farther actually. But the wife and I have been talking about taking a trip there sometime. Maybe this year will be the time.

Oh wow, that is cool!! I've kept myself "up" on what all is going on. My GF definately wants to see the gardens. I wouldn't mind the horseback riding. I hope I don't over-do myself at the winery. That place is so massive, a weekend wouldn't be enough time to see it. . . Oh and mentioned before, I plan on staying at The Inn there.

The Inn is great ;) The restaurant there is the bomb

Yea, tough to see everything on one trip....You will want to come back and catch some of the other sights :D

I'm usually over there every other Thursday and Friday. If you need a good list of restaurants, let me know. The chefs in the area are second to none.

I will be passing thru Friday this week

I don't think I will be going that soon. I'd still like to organize a GTG at The Dragon. I've yet to slay it in the truck, multiple times in other vehicles. :)
