A lot of you have met Jase at the Pcb,Fl gtg's I'm taking him this morning and dropping him off at the Marine Corps recruiting office in Dothan,Al where he will leave for Montgomery,Al. then on to Parris Island,SC to begin his military career. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he begins this new direction in his life. I'm extremely proud of him for making this decision and wish him the best off luck.

Jase is an awesome man Eddie:rock:

but we shoulda been praying for him last night according to what you said:D

Just like I told Jase in PCB, if he can see it, he can be it. All he needs is courage and determination. And I see that he has that and loads of potential already. We talked in PCB for a while as he told me about some of his peers going the wrong way. He also expressed how he wants so much in life as well as be a part of what we were doing there together and wanted what we have. I told him he already saw through his peers how easily and quickly making bad decisions can ruin his life and dreams. I also let him know that he is already a part of us and what we do as a group and the things we have pale in comparison to what he CAN have. With loving parents and friends behind him rooting him on, he will go far.

You've already made us proud Jase. :congrats: You go get 'em brother and show this world what you are all about.

thanks for the well wishes guys i got him on the bus. he had a rough night last night or his friends did trying to keep him straight...lol he did look rough when i got home this morning, but he was excited to be going. 4 or 5 of his friends came down to wish him well and tell him goodbye. wierd feeling watching him drive off, knowing he will be coming back a man. he does make me proud, the boy has been through a lot in his young life with his mother and he has had to make some tough decisions at a early age. gonna miss the boy but will welcome the man the next time i see him. looks like some time around March 6th will be when he graduates.

He will be totally different the next time you see him, he'll be 10 years ahead of today in maturity.

Make sure you post some graduation pics...... he'll be looking sharp in that uniform. i think the marines have the best looking dress uniform in all the services....

Oooh Rah! Nothing in the world like 13 weeks at PI.

I honestly got goosebumps reading this Eddie. Been a long time since I was there, but I know exactly what he is going through today heheh. If I close my eyes I can still smell the chowhall on that first morning, might have been the scariest part of the whole thing LOL. I also spent Christmas and New Years at PI, as well as Thanksgiving.

You have to be proud of Jase, I know that, and he deserves it. There is a reason we are The Few and The Proud. Not to diss anyone else, but there is nothing on this earth as scary to the enemy as a US Marine, and that has been earned.

Thank you Jase, I will be proud to call you my brother in arms in just a few short months. Give em hell young man.
Yes there is Navy nurses :D Especially when she has a better mustache then you do LMAO...........:D

Semper Fi...........

Eddie, I know he is in forming right now,. I am going to call and get his platoon and Senior Drill Instructors name for you. I know your son will send a blue card to your house telling you his address and then a telephone call letting you know he has arrived safe. So if you get a fast call saying he i am live and i made bye, CLICK. it is him.
While in receiving he is not going to get much sleep. A forming D.I will teach him a little but no where near what the his real D.I's are going to teach him. They are going to keep him up, around 72 hrs. He is going to be moving around, and they are going to push him. He has to fill out all his paperwork, putting him in a Platoon. While he is there, he will speak to the Legal perso. asking him all the questions about the Recruiter, if he lied to him. Hopefully he says no to everything. He will run his initial PFT, hopefully he is in good shape and makes the mininum scores to move on. He will be in Receiving bout a 3-5 days, then move into his 13 weeks barracks where he will stay. On saturday, HE WILL MEET HIS SDI & DI'S , IT IS A FUN TIME. sATURDAY, sUNDAY & Monday are what we call forming, basically he learns everything over again. from how to walk, talk and sh*t. i have been a recruit & Drill Instructor at Parris Island. So if there is anything you need you let me know. I will tell you, if he writes you , and you think there is something that does not sound right, PLEASE GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLAIN TO YOU. the letters are going to be a bit crazy and please do not misunderstand what he might be saying. They will change along the way. you can give me a call if you got any questions 7039866210. I can pass some advice to get your son, on his way to honor grad for the platoon & maybe company. JUST MAKE SURE YOU TELL HIM, THAT HE IS GOING TO HAVE SOME BAD DAYS, WORST DAYS AND GREAT DAYS. JUST NEVER STOP RUNING, NEVER STOP SCREAMING AND NEVER GIVE UP, NO MATTER HOW HARD IT GETS. KILL BODIES
