i design the plan and develop the drawing's so joe can lay it out in the feild

here is a proposed / existing profile of an existing state road we are reconstructing .... with proposed pipe locations and depth's

It all looks good on paper.......(my favorite line) We work with all the major engineering houses, making sure whatever they had in mind is as close to what we deliver.:rock: PS I hate Jersey traffic circles.......

haha ... i knew that was coming, some of my GREATEST moments in my career was working with some of the best contractors around....

If you get a chance, open the link I posted a couple of posts back, about the Gowanus Canal. I't a fascinating project.........All kidding aside, I have a deep respect for Engineers, as they are the ones who must stamp the drawings............

Well i'm stuck between nuclear and civil...


I'm told that research shows a need for re-engineering of bridges around the time i graduate, which would be nice.

but Nuclear is finally opening up i think.

Recommend you go to a great school...take lots of hard science and math, see what you like...then pick a graduate school that specializes in the field that has attracted you.

Viper is correct, book learning is just the start...getting your hands dirty and getting on the ground is critical in developing perspective which then makes the academic material relevant.

If you are academically strong...find the best school that will accept you...I went to TCU (not far from you)...check it out!

bridges... are structural engineering not civil engineering

i only say this bc if you want to work / design bridges you need to go to school for structural engineering

there are alot of GP engineer's that work out side there feild that just destroy projects

like an elec. engineer doing civil engineering designing storm basins and sainatray sewer systems and road hahahahahaha

I would strongly recommend keeping your pole out of that water. (No bass, but, there are many "Coney Island White Fish")

TCU is cool, but i'm not into the religion thing.... what colleges are good engineering schools?

what fields are you guys in? I need to pick what sector of engineering haha.
