Attacked by a Gator!

Was headed down the highway in evening traffic today when a Cherokee was looking to move left into my lane and over into the carpool lane. I was slowing down to give him the room when he romps on the gas and just as he darts over runs over a full length 18 wheelers gator track (tire pealed off). This of course shot up in the air. I had no time to react as it wiped out my passenger mirror and heard the carcass slapping the side of my truck all the way down before bouncing down the highway behind me.

It was everything I could do not to hunt this a-hole down. Mirror will have to be replaced. A few scratches on the door (just more battle scars) but I will say the rear rim took a major hit and the Permastar coating handled it with ease. Tire hit so hard on the rim it left black rubber on the rim over a significant portion of the entire rim. Took some scrubbing to get it off but the coating looked perfect.

Another plus for Permastar coatings! :rock:

Glad your ok. I had a friend that had this happen but the damn thing flew up and hit his windshield!!!

I think a member had a mirror for sale. Might be able to replace real cheap.

Wish you coulda stuck that gator up his ass, maybe he would be more careful next time.

Aftermarket mirror....ordered a replacement already. I'll take my buffing wheel to the door and bed this weekend. All in all not too bad as I've seen Gator's do big time damage in the past.
