Under a Florida law that took effect this month, drivers face a $1,000 fine for going 50 mph over the speed limit.

Get caught a second time and you'll fork over $2,500 and lose your license for a year. You'll pay $5,000 for the third offense and forfeit your license for 10 years.

This is the result of forfeiture of driving privileges.

So my perspective of people driving without a licensed is a bit biased.

And anyone that tells me these idiots stop driving.....is an idiot

I got a speeding ticket in Florida.. NO TWO OF THEM, one on the Florida Turnpike by a State Trooper and the other by West Palm Beach PD.. Anyway, they both were back during the summer of 1990 when I was visiting a friend. I didn't bother returning to take care of them so I guess the Statute of Limitations kicked in and erased them by now. What's funny was the parking ticket I also got back then was mailed to my house in Houston right away. :dontknow: I paid that one.

Now that's dumb thinking. Get the ticket and be a man about it. You run and I guarantee they'll catch you, and you'll be spending the night with Bubba in addition to putting your life and the life of others in danger. I'm no angel by any means I been cuaght doing 90 mph in a 30 mph the ticket cost me well over $700. Thinking back I should have never put myself in that position, and will never do it again. Don't get me wrong I'm not going to lie to you and tell you I never speed. I'm just saying that going 50 mph over the posted speed limit on a public road with other drivers is just plain stupid. You wanna drive balls out take it to a track in a controlled and safe environment.

If you're caught going 50mph over the speed limit, your car/truck should be CONFISCATED and your license should be revoked PERMANENTLY... IMO.
