Maybe a repost but made me mad anyway... Found this article albeit a little old, but it bother me when I read some of the quotes..

I know that our truck is not in production anymore but damn! They do not clarify their statements as the fastest existing production truck. I remember reading about these trucks in Truckin and they did not seem to be very impressed with the truck.

Whats the big deal with this thing? Its a quadcab with a 450 hp v-8? half the people in here already have similar trucks. I personally think it looks UGLY

remember he said its the fastest production truck (the srt 10 is not in production any more) and as for being the fastest truck period (talk it talk SHOW ME) if ford does do this then maybe dodge will put the 600 hp 2008 viper motor in a limited edition truck. that would be nuts.

i am just saying that the only way you can be called the fastest truck it has to come from the fatory with that kind of power the foose truck are like the saleen and the rouch truck foose bey it and takes it to his shop and dose the foose make over and then the go to the ford dilership and get sold it is not a production truck

1. The Holden Maloo R8 is ***NOT*** a pickup truck. It is a utility vehicle (like the Honda Ridgeline, Chevy Avalanche, etc.)
In order to be a pickup truck- by definition- you must have a separate cab and bed. A tailgate instead of a liftgate is not enough.

2. The Foose/Ford vehicle is a limited run done by an aftermarket company. It's much like Callaway and their Corvettes. It's endorsed by the factory, but not made by them. Again- by definition- it is NOT a production vehicle.

3. The Dodge Ram SRT-10, whether it's still being made or not, is still the fastest production pickup in the world.
Until Chip and the boys OFFICIALLY break 155mph with their quadcab monster, they need to watch what they say. And even then they aren't allowed to use the word "production" (see #2 above).

Personally, I think the Foose QC will run out of air (that the greedy supercharger needs) at about 135mph and won't break 145.

$80K? It better be delivered by that hottie from Overhaulin'!

After re-reading the article, I need correct myself: It appears to be a production vehicle. At least that's how Ford is pimping it.
(I mixed up the Saleen truck with the Foose truck. My bad.)

The part that is thoroughly unimpressive is how the truck differs from a regular F150-FX2 model.
Apparently, Chip has done some SERIOUS work to make this thing badass:
- New grille!
- New headrests!
- New floormats!
- 22" wheels!
- Racing stripes!
- Leather-wrapped center console!
- Build-number plaque!

Come on....an additional $55K for *that* stuff?
(people can get that stuff on Ebay for less than $500....with shipping)

Oh...that's right. They put a supercharger on a Triton V8. Sorry. Make that $50K above the sticker of a regular FX2.

There's no mention of modifications to handle the extra power of the supercharger, nor any handling modifications (suspension, brakes, etc.).

Good job, Ford!

I dont care if it could go 200 mph, it looks like every other fricken f 150 with some paint and wheels...............boring!!!
